Alvaro Prieto

For more than 25 years, Alvaro Prieto has built a distinguished career grounded in leadership, discipline, and results.  Widely respected in the Oil and Gas industry, he is known for strengthening operations, elevating safety standards, and guiding teams through complex, high stakes environments.  In 2015 Alvaro founded RAW Oilfield Services and grew the company into a trusted multimillion dollar provider by prioritizing safety, compliance and operational excellence.  His earlier leadership roles at Rosetta Resources, Wild Purge, Precision Gas Well Testing, and Wood Group further shaped his expertise in engineering, operations and EHS performance.
In 2024, Alvaro transitioned into the finance industry, bringing the same rigor, strategic thinking, and risk management mindset that defined his engineering career to wealth management.  As a Wealth Advisor and Investment Analyst with the Lopez Private Wealth group at Excelsis Global private Wealth, Alvaro is committed to delivering exceptional service, supporting wealth management strategies, and fostering strong client relationships.
A Texas native, he holds a B.S. in Natural gas Engineering from Texas A&M University - Kingsville and is completing his MBA in Accounting at Texas A&M University - Corpus Christi.  Bilingual in English and Spanish, he values clear communication, integrity, and precision and applies a long-term perspective to helping families and individuals build and preserve financial security.
Outside of work, Alvaro is an avid pitmaster who takes great pride in perfecting the art of smoking briskets.  Whether experimenting with new rubs, mastering slow-smoke techniques or hosting family cookouts, he enjoys bringing people together through good food and Texas style barbecue - a hobby that reflects his patience, craftsmanship, and love of tradition.
